The spa was fantastic, and I had an awesome CBD massage with Benjamin. I loved using both the indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and poolside service from the Roost was a nice bonus since I didn’t have to leave for lunch. The falafel wrap is highly recommended. We stayed at the Top Notch for my 30th birthday with family, in the Moss Glen Suite. A few room issues took away from the visit. The pullout couch was uncomfortable, and there was a smell when we checked in. The front desk responded promptly and treated the room, but the odor never really went away. The dishwasher wouldn’t stay shut, and as we were getting ready to leave, the bathroom sink started leaking at the drain. For the price, I expected better room quality, though we still had a great visit.

The king bed was comfortable, and housekeeping did a nice job. The front desk team and maintenance staff we met were friendly and helpful too. We liked the sauna, steam room, indoor pool, and hot tub, along with the outdoor pools and hot tubs, especially in winter. The room and bathroom, though, felt worn and need repairs and updates. The walls were so thin we could hear a quiet conversation in the next room, which surprised us. My spouse found the massage very average for $200. At $700 a night, the stay felt far too expensive for what we got. If it had been a $150-a-night place, we wouldn't have thought to mention the room condition. We didn't eat there, so can't comment on the food.

Annika made check-in feel so welcoming and friendly, a lovely way to start our visit. We only stayed one night at Topnotch, but we loved it and the beautiful setting. The chocolate chip cookies were a treat, too. Already looking forward to coming back!

The snowy outdoor hot tub after a night swim was such a peaceful, almost surreal moment. Topnotch Resort made for a beautiful, refreshing getaway, with stunning views all around. Skiing is about 7 minutes away, and Stowe has plenty of shops, cute gift stores, and good coffee spots to explore. A cozy Vermont escape we'd recommend.

The bar has a cozy feel, with fireplaces, shuffleboard, and a few big-screen TVs, and the bartender was especially great. We also appreciated the hourly shuttle to the resort, which really matters on busy holidays when parking fills up. Rooms were clean with plenty of windows. The breakfast restaurant offers a good variety and lovely views.
