Hilton Garden Inn Roanoke Rapids

The restaurant in the hotel was handy, and there was a good place nearby to walk our dogs. We also left something in the room, and the staff were really kind and helpful in getting it sorted out. We were very happy with the stay.

The staff were nice and the room was pleasant, but the breakfast issue left us disappointed. We'd paid for the breakfast option for our family of two adults and two kids, then were told in the morning that it covered only two people and didn't include bacon or sausage. We should have checked the fine print, but expected the reservation guest count to be covered, and think that limit should be made clear on the website. We skipped breakfast and couldn't get a refund.

The place was wicked clean, and the hair products in the shower were really nice. We were driving from Florida to New Hampshire and this was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at in North Carolina. At 10 at night, the front desk gentleman was incredibly nice and apologized that the pool was closed. That was fine with us since we were heading to bed anyway. I'd definitely stay again.

Our room hadn't been serviced by the time we got back at 2:30 p.m. after leaving around 8:40 a.m. on 2-21-26. We thought housekeeping might come later, but when we returned at midnight on 2-22-26, it still hadn't been touched. No clean towels or washcloths, the beds were untouched, and the trash was overflowing. There were housekeepers on our floor, so it was especially disappointing that they had passed our room. The shower barely had any pressure, and the toilet took several flushes. The beds, which we'd once slept in comfortably, now felt extremely uncomfortable. For what we pay per night, this was a terrible experience, far below what we've had at other Hilton locations, including this one. It's the first really bad stay we've had here in NC, and I hope this isn't what future visits will be like.
