The rv park itself is nice and one of the cleanest I've stayed at, but the old guy in the golf cart ruined the experience with his power tripping attitude. My 16-year-old daughter was in the hot tub when he jumped out and demanded to know who was in charge of her. My wife and I said we were, and told him she was 16. He asked, "16? are you sure?" as if we didn't know our daughter's age, then grumbled and got back in the cart. The next day, on Father's Day, I drove back to the lot to have dinner with the family. I was there about an hour when he asked whose camper it was. I said it belonged to my mother-in-law and explained we had three cars, but I was about to leave and had only come for dinner. He said my mother-in-law couldn't have visitors. He asked if I'd been at the pool the day before. I said yes, and that I'd stayed the previous night after going to the concert around the corner, when we had only two cars there. He then said I couldn't visit or use any facilities because I hadn't paid for them. I understand there are rules and they should be followed, but he came at me like he was all-powerful instead of being approachable. This guy needs to learn how to deal with customers and the public. The way he started set the tone for the whole conversation. What kind of place tells you how many people can stay in a camper? I won't recommend this place or set foot on the property again. Good job!

The resort itself was impressive, with top-notch amenities and well-kept grounds. It also seemed to be next to a music venue, which could be a nice extra for anyone staying longer. We were only passing through for one night, though, and the nightly rate felt steep compared with most places we've stayed. For a brief stop, it was more than we usually want to pay, even though the quality of the property was clear.

This wasn't as advertised. The pull-through site was large, with full hookups, and getting there was easy, right off the highway. We stayed overnight on 5/20/26 and arrived early enough to want the pool in the 94-degree heat and the hot tub for my aching back, but both were locked. The host, I think, said they were waiting for certification and hoped they'd open in a few days. The office should have told us beforehand. That was a big disappointment. I couldn't find a fenced dog park, just a dog walk area sign, and there were no poop stations. There was mini golf, but it was a tiny course, nothing like the site's pictures.

We'd only meant to sleep here overnight on our first trip through, but a slide problem with our brand new coach meant we couldn't travel the next day. Then tornado warnings made us wait an extra day. The woman in the office and possibly her husband, who was making the rounds, were considerate and helpful through a stressful situation. She gave my husband names of local techs and didn't charge us for the extra night because of what had happened. That was unheard of. I hesitated to mention it in case someone tried to take advantage, but trust that would be absurd. Getting in was easy, even though we booked the same day by phone with a lovely, helpful woman because I don't think the site allows same-day bookings. She explained everything clearly since we'd arrive after the office closed. The grounds were clean, our site was well kept, and the campground was bigger than it first looked. The guest building had newer, very clean bathrooms and laundry, plus cute rocking chairs on porches at both the front and back. Another building seemed to have air hockey and games. The pool looked well maintained, though it was closed for winter. I want to thank them again for such exceptional customer service, which is rare these days. When I gave her Byrds cookies we'd picked up on our Savannah travels, she asked if I was a hugger and then hugged me. A+++ Thank you!! 😊 We first stopped here on our way back North, and it won't be the last time.

It's clean, quiet, and the people are pleasant, so this is a great stop for a break if you're going to Florida or farther south. The one problem is people leaving their dogs' mess in the dog park. That's on those individuals, not the campground. Please pick up after your dogs.
