Best Western Roanoke Inn & Suites

I don’t usually leave reviews. The manager was great, but the room had issues. When I turned on the jacuzzi tub, dirt, skin, and hair came out of the jets. The manager cleaned it after finding supplies, but it clearly wasn’t being cleaned and checked as it should be. The bathroom sink drained very slowly, if at all, and even with the AC set to 65 the room was barely comfortable. They have DirecTV, but only around 40 channels and three apps you can log into: Tubi, Netflix, and Prime.

We booked and paid Priceline’s advertised price for a room with a spa, but the room we were given wasn’t the one on our booking. At the desk, we showed the employee our itinerary for a king suite with spa. He basically shrugged and told us to call Priceline. He was condescending and offered no customer service. It would have been simple to move us to the right room. Instead, he said we’d have to make a new reservation and pay for the other room because the Priceline booking was nonrefundable. I wouldn’t stay here. The owners and staff have no business in hospitality.

The rooms were clean and quiet, and the price made for a very nice stay. The breakfast had lots of variety and was good. Bring slippers, though, since the floors aren’t carpeted. I’d definitely stay again.

I arrived for my stay, but they wouldn’t let me into the room because my ID card was expired. I showed them the credit card I’d used to pay, along with the transaction on my phone, but they wouldn’t accept that as proof. I asked for my money back so I could find another room. They refused, saying there were no refunds. It didn’t seem fair that they kept both the room and my money. I said their policy was theirs, but as the customer I should at least get my money back to find somewhere else. They still said no refund and told me to dispute it with my credit card company.
