Colony House Motor Lodge

I especially appreciate that the rooms and bathrooms are fully ADA compliant. I have a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation and can attest to their compliance. There aren't many of these rooms, so book early. I stayed at the original many times while in Roanoke for business, and it was a good, safe, clean place with friendly staff. This renovation is wonderful for those of us who remember the original. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the rooms stay true to the originals while looking fresh and feeling comfortable. The bedding is great, the rooms are relaxing, and the whole redo is excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would come back in a heartbeat.

The rates were budget friendly, and I had a great stay at The Colony House Motor Lodge. My room was immaculate when I arrived and still clean each evening when I got back. Service was prompt, and they were happy to make accommodations. The mid-mod renovation looks beautiful, with modern bathroom upgrades and key card entry. I liked the extra wooden slatted door that lets in the Virginia air. There was plenty of parking close to the rooms. The ice maker was a bit far from some rooms, and a coffee maker in the room costs extra, though free coffee is available in the lobby.

The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful while we were there, and the room was spacious and very clean. We had a great time with the fun mid century modern style. We'd happily stay again next time we're in Roanoke.

My husband and I came to town while we were waiting for our grandbaby to arrive, and what began as a short stay turned into several nights. The rooms are roomy, with luxe towels, bedding, and soaps, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Colony House has had an amazing recent overhaul. Our last night was upstairs at the back, with lovely tree views and a very peaceful night's rest. We liked it a lot. We hope the owners might consider weekly rates for loyal customers like us. We love the place, will definitely return, and wish we could give it 10 stars!
