Tommy in the kitchen was wonderful, with lots of knowledge about the area, helpful tips and real kindness. The well-rounded breakfast was ready each morning and helped us face the cold. Staff were watchful, family oriented, and kept guests safe and informed during the bad weather. We were treated very well, with none of the dishonest availability games I'd run into with some competitors. With snow, ice, canceled flights and travel chaos from the big winter storm hitting Roanoke, this SpringHill Suites by Marriott Roanoke North was easily my first choice. We had four rooms for our family, and manager Robin Lowery did a fantastic job making sure we were comfortable. The employees were friendly, and breakfast had a great variety and tasted very good. Our rooms surprised us with their space and looked beautiful and clean. The bathrooms were large, and we loved the heated mirrors. We didn't get to use the pool, but hope to next visit. The room was beautiful and clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was free, all at a price I felt couldn't be beat.

The staff looked after us well, and the continental breakfast was great. After a long day, the small pool, with a 10 person occupancy limit, was a lovely place to unwind. The rooms were impressively clean and spacious, with a huge closet, a good-pressure shower and a mirror with a built-in heater to keep it from fogging. No complaints, and I'd happily stay again.

With kids, getting a room on the lowest level was the right call. We loved the spacious room, its unusual design, the cleanliness, the big closet and the trundle couch. We've stayed in plenty of hotels, and this is easily the nicest one, for less than many of the others.
