Hollywood Casino Tunica

We won't be coming back to this location. It wasn't like our stays at other Hollywood Casino's, and the smoke was the biggest problem. As soon as we walked in, stale cigarette odor hit us. Even though we were near the casino entrance, our room, bedding, and towels smelled too, despite it being “freshly” cleaned. Our small amount of luggage from a one-night stay still smelled when we got home. Only one restaurant was open on Sunday evening. The menu was limited, the staff weren't very helpful, and although there was plenty of food, the chicken was some of the toughest I've had. I threw most of it away and went back to my room for a protein bar. The staff spoke so softly that even with my hearing aid turned all the way up, I couldn't make out what they were saying. I had to ask my wife to explain every time someone spoke to me. If you don't smoke, this casino isn't for you.

The room was a mess of problems. There was no TV remote, the AC didn't work, and the coffee pot smelled like burnt chocolate. Its water came out looking like milky rust. The room wasn't filthy, but it wasn't clean either. The shower was okay except there was no hot water, water dripped from the light into the tub, and the tub faucet didn't work, so there was only the shower. At check-in, the front desk tried to raise my confirmed rate even though I had the reservation number and an email from Hollywood casino showing the agreed price. The manager said they wouldn't honor the rate THEY had given me and confirmed by email. I stayed in the room anyway because three other people were already complaining about their rooms, so switching seemed pointless. I asked for a coffee pot and a remote on the first day, but never got either. During the week, only one restaurant was open, and the coffee shop was closed all three days I was there. It was an absolute train wreck. I got every one of my things out before leaving so I'd never have a reason to come back. If you have to go to Tunica, stay in your car. That would be much more enjoyable.

We loved wandering through all the movie displays and props. There was so much to look at and read that it felt like a museum, and I know we didn't get to see everything. My wife and I had a great visit to Hollywood Casino at Tunica on November 14-15, starting from the moment we arrived. Our third-floor room facing the casino floor was a treat. At dinner in Fairbanks, our waitress Susan made us feel welcome and answered our menu questions. The next morning, Lisa, the floor manager, helped us find a microwave on the ground floor to reheat our coffee. We'd be happy to return.

I love the atmosphere and the food, and I celebrate my birthday at Hollywood casino in Tunica, Ms. every year. I usually win, but this year I was out of luck. It would be nice if Hollywood casino offered birthday guests something special, like a promo or a free dinner, especially for people who play there often. A snack bar open through the night would also be great. Guests could stay and spend their money there instead of having to leave. Looking forward to my next visit!!❤️🥰
