The place is clearly older, but it’s been fixed up nicely and was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and being so close to the highway was handy. Breakfast was pretty sparse, just waffles, but the stay cost less than other places.

The roaches were the biggest problem. When I switched on the bathroom light, at least five German roaches scattered, and I kept worrying they’d crawl into my bag. The toilet also barely flushed because the water pressure was so low. I checked in around 4, and the room was really hot because the AC had been left off. By about 10 that night it had cooled some, but even with the setting lowered to 68 it never got that cold, and I couldn’t sleep. The hotel has potential, but those issues need attention if it wants better reviews.

We needed somewhere convenient in Robstown, and this worked out well. The pool was clean, the amenities were good, and the ice machine came in handy. Breakfast was limited, but fine for what we paid. I enjoyed the stay.

The employees were really polite and attentive, and the beds were super soft. I liked this little hotel more than the La Quinta or Marriott places I’ve stayed at lately. Thanks, Robstown, I’ll definitely stay here on my next road trip your way.
