Please listen to the bad reviews and avoid this motel. Bugs were on me all night, the rooms weren’t clean, and who knows what was on the carpet. The people were rude. We stay in a lot of places, and most of my other reviews are good. Also, I forgot to mention the lizards crawling on the walls all night.

I haven’t seen any bugs, and the staff are friendly. The room was cleaned daily. Still, the rest of the stay has been bad enough that I’m dropping this to one star. The old tube TV from the 90s has fuzzy channels, and there’s no Wi-Fi. The shower and sink water smell strange, not awful, just odd, and I wouldn’t drink it. There’s no cold water, only warm or scalding hot. The worst part is the weekly rate: they charged me $56 more than the amount quoted on the phone and said it was tax. I’m no tax expert, but I’m pretty sure Robstown’s rate isn’t 16%. I’ve been on the second floor for six days and haven’t seen another guest, yet I was told no first-floor rooms were available. I’ll try to post pictures before I check out tomorrow and find somewhere else. Avoid this place unless you have nowhere else to go.

For $63 a night, the room was about what I expected, okay at best, and the AC worked great. But the TVs badly need updating. The cleaning crew were banging around outside my door at 7:00 am, and the clerk set a wake-up call for 9:00 am even though checkout wasn’t until 11. I’d look for better lodging.

The AC, TV, and outlets all worked, and the place is very basic. But $67 for one night felt expensive for somewhere this run down. The carpet was stained and covered in dead and live beetles, and I had to flush a couple of them. The shower water wouldn’t get cold no matter how far I turned the faucet. The woman who checked me in was rude and kept insisting she’d watch to make sure I didn’t have extra guests or pets, threatening to charge me $150 if she saw anything. I was alone. You can get cleaner rooms and better service for less at a Motel 6 or Days inn.
