The hospital location is perfect, but we wouldn't stay here again. The rooms felt dingy and dirty, with stained hallway carpet, filthy lobby windows and doors, and an elevator that needed a good scrub. Breakfast was very bare-bones. A pipe burst during our stay and left the parking lot incredibly icy. I slipped, but scattered cigarette butts caught my sliding shoe and stopped the fall. We had a service dog and were charged extra. The desk clerk also asked why we needed the dog, which I understood the ADA to prohibit. My partner didn't want an argument, so he went along with it. We stayed because the notice was under 24 hours and we didn't want to lose the night's price. I don't recommend this place.

The location is great and the staff were very helpful, but the room was just too hot for us. The hotel shuts off the AC for the winter, so you can either run the heat or turn it off. Even with the heat off, our third-floor room was 73 degrees. I like a cool room at night because I sleep better, and I also like the white noise and how AC helps with the bathroom humidity. Staff brought us a fan, which helped some. Maybe one day I'll be fine with the thermostat at 80 in winter, but I'm not there yet.

Room 310 was 85° Fahrenheit with the heat OFF. AC isn't available in winter, even though the sign says heat and A/C are available in summer. Stupid. I complained at the desk and asked about switching rooms. They handed me a box fan and said, "this should cool it down." It didn't. I couldn't just go find another hotel since I had 8 appointments at Mayo the next morning. If you book online and get a decent one-night deal, you'll get #310, the room in Hell. Hope 85° and a box fan treats you better.

The hotel is quiet and clean, and the staff members are amazing. It's very convenient for St Mary's Hospital, and there's also a shuttle to the Gonda building for Methodist Hospital.
