Hampton Inn & Suites Rochester-North

After staying in 4 hotels over the past month, I’d say the complimentary breakfast was one of the best. The front desk was also really accommodating when I arrived with 2 babies and got us a first-floor room. One of the better hotels I’ve stayed in.

We had no reservation when we showed up at 11pm, and picked this place because the hot tub stayed open until 12am. The woman at the front desk was a gem and went out of her way to accommodate us. The hot tub was large, and we had it all to ourselves.

I chose Hampton Inn & Suites, North because I already knew from a previous one-night stay that I’d be happy here. This time I was traveling alone, and feeling safe mattered more to me and my husband than saving the $5-10 another hotel might have charged per night. The room and service were also high on my list, and both were great. Everything was very clean and I had no problems. The desk clerks I spoke with were knowledgeable and polite. I don’t remember the morning shuttle driver’s name, but he was very nice and drove safely. On another trip I’d had one of the scariest taxi rides of my life, so that mattered to me. I couldn’t try breakfast because of testing at Mayo, but there was always fresh fruit, coffee, tea, water, and fresh-baked cookies in the evening. I’ll be back in Rochester, and I won’t spend time looking for another hotel. This place will get my business.

The neighborhood felt a little odd, but it wasn't bad. The hotel itself was clean and nice, and I'd stay here again.
