Aspen Suites

The bed mattresses had pillow tops and were great, though the pillows themselves were the one downside. I loved sitting in the comfortable lobby by the fireplace. Free soup for supper was great, and breakfast was better than at so many other hotels. I'd definitely stay again.

We've stayed at Aspen Suites on and off for many years, and one thing I love is that they remember your name. However long it's been since I left, when I walk in they say Mr Mowery. The staff are great, and the free breakfast is great too. The evening meal at 5:00, more like brunch or lunch, is free and good if it's your kind of food. We're here for a month and a half on this visit, and have no complaints. Their free shuttle will take you to whichever hospital you need. For Mayo Clinic trips, Aspen has made things a blessing. Sure, you can find a cheaper hotel, but at this price you won't get underground parking, free breakfast, and free rides to the hospitals, along with the service and respect the staff show. The reason I gave the rooms four stars is that sometimes a mattress needs flipping or replacing. Just tell them if yours isn't comfortable, and they'll make arrangements.

I'm still trying to get back the $1,539.92 they charged me for two suites. I booked for July, and they took the money right away without telling me. I only noticed when I checked the confirmation email. I've been passed among more than five, maybe six, different staff members and even filled out the online contact form. You can wait on hold for over 30 minutes, only for the call to drop as they introduce themselves. The booking representative also falsely said refund protection had been offered and declined.

I'm staying in a kitchenette room for work and Mayo Clinic. It's cozy, but feels dated for modern gadgets. The outlets could use USB ports, and the bathroom vanity could use a dimmer. For medical treatment at St. Mary's hospital, it's ideal, right across the street and easy to walk to.
