The smell hit as soon as we opened the door, smoke over something sour and old. My wife called it “a year-long locker room experiment.” We came off the elevator and the hallway already felt like a sad story. The online photos must have been from 1997, during the building’s one good week. It was supposed to be a suite with a kitchen, but the cabinets were peeling and sagging, there were bugs on the windowsill, and the fixtures were loose. The paint looked like it had seen arguments and regret. The tub and bedding had cigarette burns, the microwave looked traumatized, and the mattress was heavily stained. I pulled back the sheets right away. Nothing felt clean or maintained, like housekeeping had stopped years ago. For nearly the same price, go a few miles north to Extended Stay America. You can sleep without wondering what happened in the bathtub or feeling like you need to disinfect your shoes. This is the strongest warning I’ve written. Don’t stay unless your expectations are subterranean. Avoid it, absolutely.

Housekeeping staff were friendly and very helpful, and the place is very pet friendly. The front desk staff were messy, with a poor code of conduct, and workers were unprofessional and got into guests’ personal business. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you need somewhere pet friendly.

It’s a comfortable place and puppy dog friendly. The staff go out of their way to help. I’ll stay a little longer and tell people it’s the cheapest in town. Sad there’s no coffee or breakfast.

The cleaning lady is especially helpful and makes great food for a good price. Other staff help more than the manager, who said he’d get me a tub stopper for my second room but never did. The first room had one so I could soak my legs, the second didn’t. He’s the sort who says he’ll do things but wants some kind of payback in return, so I don’t trust him. If you’re here for a weekend, it’s okay. But if you’re stuck staying 28 days, keep an eye on your account. The manager tends to charge more than he quoted and then blame the internet. One room had no TV, and the TV in another didn’t work. That was my experience, hopefully yours is different 🤷

There are lots of good people here who’ll help you out. I don’t stay there anymore, but I make donations once in a while.
