Dartmouth House Inn

We had a deep tub in a spacious bathroom, and the period-style room also had a fridge and flat-screen TV. The included breakfast felt homemade and hit the spot: egg frittata with toast, a fruit parfait, and a large selection of teas. There are lovely shared spaces too, including a sitting room and porch, and the luxury room comes with a rooftop deck. This is a great little inn in the heart of Rochester's arts district, close to the Eastman museum, Highland park, Genesee falls area, and the museums. The rooms have old-fashioned character with modern touches. I'd love to come back in fall to see the foliage.

This cozy, charming bed and breakfast is our go-to whenever we visit Rochester. I've stayed several times, and every stay has been great. The beds are super comfortable, breakfast is always delicious, and Gary and Melania are warm and friendly hosts. I love this place!

The owner sent me off with a delicious quiche and fruit after I explained I couldn’t stay for breakfast. Such a thoughtful surprise. The room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, and everything was spotless. I was warmly welcomed and shown around, and the roomy attached bathroom had plenty of fresh towels. The TV had lots of channels, too. I’d recommend The Dartmouth House to anyone looking for a lovely stay in Rochester.

The homemade breakfast was a real highlight, and they had a great range of teas that made the morning feel cozy. Our room was comfortable and had what we needed. We were in town for a friend’s wedding and stayed one night at Dartmouth House. The hosts made us feel welcome right away and were very accommodating. The house has old-world charm, is well kept, and sits in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood that felt safe.
