Quality Inn & Suites Mayo Clinic Area

We loved our second-floor king suite and would stay here again. The continental breakfast was enhanced with waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereals, and assorted breads. It’s an older two-story property that seems to have been renovated recently, and it delivered on quiet rooms, comfortable beds, and professional staff.

That king bed was so comfortable, I slept really well. The room was spacious, and the hotel was clean and well looked after, with popular stores conveniently close by. I didn’t expect much for the price, so I was pleasantly surprised. A hot tub would have made the stay better, but it wasn’t a big deal. If we’re in Rochester again, we’ll stay here.

Getting to Mayo Clinic from here was very convenient. Across a minor street, there’s Scooter, caraboo coffee, and Dave hot chicken. The place looks like a motel from outside, with rooms facing indoors. It’s older but clean, and breakfast was good. Coffee and water were available around the clock.

My second visit was a completely different experience. The room and location were great, and the staff were doing a good job. If you plug in peripherals, make sure the light switch is on. Breakfast still wasn’t great unless you want biscuits and bad gravy. The first stay was rough. The roof leaked, so I moved rooms twice. It was still leaking in the third room, though less badly, and I didn’t feel like moving again. Breakfast was sausage and gravy, probably as usual, and the internet kept going out randomly and was a pain to get back. They gave us $50 off. One guy was nice, but the person changing our rooms wasn’t.
