Staybridge Suites Rochester - Commerce Dr NW by IHG

The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the price was very reasonable. Being close to Costco, Cub foods, and the main highways was convenient. Still, it felt like a big chain hotel that wasn't doing its best. The breakfast room was dirty, with hardly anything beyond cereal and fruit, and there was noise from slamming doors and loud neighbors until 12:30. The halls were noisy at night and in the morning there was some kind of argument at the front desk about it. I don't know what was going on. I had a much better Staybridge stay in North Dakota two years ago.

I'm a cancer patient who has to travel from southern IN to Rochester often for Mayo Clinic, and I needed to come up for urgent last-minute appointments. With many downtown hotels sold out, we tried this one, which had always looked nice from outside. We need to be here for a week, but the neighbors have been extremely loud through our stay, and the room walls seem paper thin. We're hoping to move after the weekend. The service has been horrible, and I've considered asking for a refund because this is unacceptable. Breakfast was skimpy, either overcooked or served with moldy fruit. The dishes in our room had been put away dirty on our first day, and the laundry room was gross, with washers so filthy we couldn't use them. For the price, this was very disappointing. I will absolutely never stay here again.

We stayed for a week, and the staff were great. Our room was clean, and having free laundry on site was nice. We'll be back in a month for a longer stay.

The staff are friendly, helpful, and do what they can to make your stay a positive one. Rooms are roomy, with comfortable beds and great showers, and the continental breakfast is tasty with plenty of choices. For a visit to Rochester, this is one of the best places I've stayed.
