Four Points by Sheraton Rock Springs

The only issue came up at check-in. I’d booked through corporate and was told there’d be a $25 pet fee, but on arrival they said it was $35 plus a $100 refundable deposit. When I explained that wasn’t what I’d been quoted, the very nice woman let me have the room at the corporate rate without the deposit. The place looks recently renovated, and the rooms are incredibly clean. Breakfast has the usual hotel fare as well as made-to-order omelets in the attached restaurant. I ate there the night before, too, and the food was good and reasonably priced. If you’re thinking of staying in Rock Springs, this is the place.

Renovations during my latest trip didn’t disturb me at all, and I’m really impressed with this hotel. I’ve stayed here for years, and the service has always been superb. The breakfast is the best I’ve had at a hotel, genuinely delicious, with some items made fresh for you. The omelet bar is amazing every time, and I look forward to breakfast here.

The staff were nice, but the hotel was disgusting, and I was charged $255. The pool was under construction with no mention on the website, which was a fun surprise for my kids. Then the juice machine was broken, sorry again kids. In room 118, a king room, the phone didn’t work and the sheets weren’t made or changed, as far as I could tell. They were half off the bed and full of hair. We also rented room 103, a two-queen room, where the shower hadn’t been cleaned and was full of soap scum and long women’s hair. We had to change rooms, and should have changed both.

The hot breakfast was outstanding, with omelets made to order, sausage patties and links, and a waffle maker that worked. The staff were friendly, especially April, who checked us in late in the evening. Our renovated room had no carpet, which we liked, and even though pets are allowed there was no smell in the room or hotel. Construction didn’t cause us any noise problems. We had an excellent stay and would recommend it 10/10.
