My husband was working away from home for an extended time in Rock Springs, Wyoming, and we stayed at my place hotel. We were there quite a while, and the staff made us feel like family instead of just guests. They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and were comfortable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and housekeeping and the maintenance man kept everything presentable. It felt like a safe place to stay while traveling through the area. There’s a small convenience shop in the lobby, and town is close if you need something they don’t carry. Guests can also use an outdoor gazebo with tables, chairs, and a couple of grills. They’re pet friendly.

The staff were very friendly, and I would stay again. I was expecting breakfast, but they only offer delivery, and there’s a fee that isn’t mentioned on the placard in the room. The TV was a bit small, and the telephone didn’t work. I also wish there were a covered pool area to keep you out of the weather while unloading your vehicle, like at most hotels. Still, it’s a very nice hotel overall.

The rooms are huge and laid out really well, and the hotel was very clean. Service was great, too. This place deserves a higher rating. There’s no way it’s only a 2 star hotel, it should be a 4 star!

Dear Travelers, we’re easily grossed out by hotels with unvacuumed rugs, grimy mystery corners, and funky prison-style bathrooms. This place was nothing like that. It was clean, clean, clean. We actually felt fine turning off the lights, using the bathroom and shower, and walking around in our socks or even barefoot 😳 So glad we found it.

My Place has become a new favorite. The rooms are large, with a kitchen and a full-size refrigerator, and the stay was clean and very quiet. It cost half as much as a Candlewood or Homewood suites. They accepted government rates without a problem and removed the taxes for government employees. Top-notch stay. The Holiday Inn down the street was horrible, with a complete disaster at the front desk and in billing.
