Rockerville Lodge & Cabins

We ate supper at the covered patio's picnic tables beside the gas grills, and deer gambled past us. The next morning there were complimentary light breakfast items, coffee, juice, and hot chocolate. Mount Rushmore was only 10-15 minutes away, so I got to check it off my bucket list. The suite was spacious enough for everyone, with 2 queen beds and a drop down futon. It had a full kitchen with dishes, cookware, and utensils, and the room was clean. Check-in through departure was flawless, and the young man who checked us in was friendly and knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about Rockerville Lodge and Cabins. We had an awesome stay, and I'd highly recommend it.

We stayed here in August of 2022 and liked it enough to return when we were back in the area on 18 August of this year. Our first visit had impressed us, and we weren't disappointed at all. This time was even better. They've improved the place since then, and we again had the cleanest, coziest, most comfortable room and stay of our travels. Rockerville is easy on the budget and conveniently located just off US-16 near Mt. Rushmore. The staff are wonderful, friendly and professional, and a pleasure to talk with. There's continental breakfast from 0700-1000, too. This is our go-to when we're in South Dakota. Keep it up, you guys are awesome! We'll be back next time we're in town.

We stayed several nights in the Golden Nugget building. The only drawback was having to drive across the highway for breakfast. The room was spacious and very clean, with a great kitchen, and the staff were kind. Breakfast was great, with bread, brownies, bagels, english muffins, 3 cereal choices, juice, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and more.

A real hidden gem in the Black Hills. The rooms were up to date, clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a comfy bed and great water pressure. The owners were friendly and accommodating. It has that mom and pop feel that's harder to find these days. Breakfast is included, with the usual cereal, coffee, oatmeal, bagel, and so on. The dining area is open and nice, with a couch and bar area. We'd absolutely come again!
