Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Rockmart

The housekeepers do a great job keeping the place going, but management is terrible. There’s rarely anyone at the front desk, so checking in can mean a long wait while the manager is away. His contact information is on the counter so you can tell him you’re there. We also found bed bugs and roaches in our room.

We stayed two nights, and the price was right. The room was clean and had what we needed, though the mattress was outdated.

We had a nice, restful stay, and the quiet surroundings helped. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and there’s a swimming pool. The owner was friendly and accommodating, the service was good, and the other guests were pleasant. The location was convenient, close to restaurants, ingles grocery store, a wine and spirits store, and automotive shops. We had no problems.

The main issue was that staff aren’t available late at night, so don’t lose your key. Otherwise, it worked fine for a pit stop. The hotel was clean, offers breakfast for a few hours in the morning, and allows pets. It’s on the main strip, within walking distance of an auto parts store, liquor store, and Captain D’s.
