Harkness Brook Inn

The room itself was clean and roomy, but the outlet by the sink didn't work, so I had to use a friend's room to dry my hair. There wasn't hot water for the second person to shower, and my friends' room had the same problem. I mentioned it to the staff member at checkout. They said it was unusual and noted the outlet, but nothing else. For the price, not being able to shower properly or dry my hair was frustrating.

The peaceful setting in Rockport was a nice place to unwind after sightseeing. Harkness Brook Inn is tucked away, but still just a six-minute drive from downtown Camden, with its shops, restaurants, and coffee spots. It was a cozy, charming stay, and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere quiet and comfortable near Camden's activity.

Even though the Inn sits on a busy road, our room was surprisingly quiet. Getting there was easy, and inside we had a lovely contemporary room with a comfortable bed and a roomy, modern shower. We had a wonderful stay.

I wouldn't recommend this place. The room had no cups or glasses, though you could get some from the lobby if it was open. I also couldn't get in when I arrived because the door was locked from inside, and staff had to jimmy it with a bent hanger. The cigarette smell was awful. I left the windows open all day and it still lingered; even after they changed the bedding, which smelled too, the room still stank. They post signs about a $250 smoking cleaning fee, but based on this, it didn't seem like they clean the room.
