The winter views and peaceful surroundings at Samoset Resort made our family weekend feel like a real escape. Our room was beautiful, with a spectacular view and very comfortable beds. The whole stay felt both luxurious and cozy, and the children loved it. We were greeted warmly at the front desk, where the staff were attentive and went out of their way to help us feel comfortable. The inviting atmosphere, lovely interior design, and all the thoughtful details made the visit special. In the evenings, hot apple cider by the lobby fireplace was a treat after a walk in the freezing weather. Later, s’mores kits were set out by the fire, which was a huge hit with the kids. We also felt very welcome in the restaurant. The service was outstanding, and the pizza was delicious, with some exciting, unique varieties. The Maine blueberry pie was the best dessert I've ever had. We highly recommend this resort for a memorable getaway and will definitely be back.

The ocean views from our room were so beautiful, and the staff were excellent and friendly. We had a great stay at Samoset this past weekend, and the ice bar event was a fun way to break up Maine's long, cold winter. There were great ice sculptures, bonfires outside, s’mores, and specialty cocktails. A DJ played, and there was room to dance inside the bar. The large indoor pool and hot tub were a nice extra. We love Samoset Resort and will mark our calendars for this event in 2027.

Elizabeth and I had such a good time at the Samoset this Christmas that we stayed an extra day. We had a beautiful room overlooking Penobscot Bay, and the service throughout the hotel was outstanding. We ate every meal at the resort, and the food was creatively prepared and delicious. Thanks to everyone for making the stay so lovely. We plan to come back to your beautiful resort next Christmas.

The Samoset is a wonderful place for kids, with swimming and s'mores time. The staff were so kind and helpful, going above and beyond. They took care of everything we needed and even anticipated things we hadn't thought of. We'll keep coming back.

I'd always wanted to spend time in Maine, and finally got the chance this October at the Samoset. My wife and I travel to some pretty amazing places during the year, and this was every bit as memorable. The property is a geographic marvel, on par with Pebble Beach and similar places. The old lodge has sweeping views of Penobscot Bay and a huge fireplace that gives it a rustic feel. The buildings are much older, but the staff were as good as I've experienced at five-star resorts that cost ten times as much. Everyone was friendly, professional, and engaging, from the front desk to the waiters and bartenders. The general manager should be proud of the experience the team provides. I didn't get to play golf, but the course looked much better than average. The outdoor pool was absolutely breathtaking, and reminded me more of the Costa del Sol than the United States. I've had several spectacular trips this year, but I can't think of one I enjoyed more than my time at the Samoset.
