Cambria Hotel Rockville

There’s a lot to do just around the corner, with shops, restaurants, and activities nearby. Check-in was quick and easy, and the room had plenty of space for four people. The beds were comfortable, the pool was just the right temperature, and having the gym right beside it was convenient. The jacuzzi was a nice extra. I stayed a few months ago and had a great experience. It’s a friendly, nice, affordable hotel for the area.

My boyfriend and I are now thinking of coming back for a getaway. I picked this hotel at random as a halfway stop on a trip, but we loved it. The area was lovely, there was plenty to do within walking distance, and it felt relaxing with quiet rooms. Check-in and checkout were easy, and everything went smoothly. I’m looking forward to another visit.

The front desk staff are nice and the room is spacious, but getting housekeeping requests completed was a problem. My first room wasn’t fully clean when I arrived, with the toilet and shower missed or only partly cleaned, and the tub was mildewed. I was moved to another room, but a later cleaning request wasn’t done. I had to ask for towels and cleaning every day. That wasn’t a problem by itself, but there was no guarantee it would happen. The night staff seemed annoyed that it fell to them, though they couldn’t do much because housekeeping wasn’t working at night. Other people in my trip group had similar complaints about their rooms and stays. Housekeeping needs proper training, and the front desk and housekeeping need a way to check that requests are completed.

The shower pressure was so low that it was the main downside of the hotel. I don’t know if it’s meant to conserve water, but even the sink had stronger pressure. Otherwise, it’s a nice hotel with good amenities and plenty of convenient places within walking distance. Housekeeping needs to be requested 24 hours ahead.
