Holiday Inn Express Hartford South - Rocky Hill by IHG

The rooms are well maintained, and the hotel is quiet with easy access on and off the highway. The staff are awesome. I’ve gotten tired of IHG breakfasts, but this one is always decent. No complaints.

The breakfast wasn’t our favorite, but it was still okay. Our room was clean, and housekeeping came every day. Chris, the front desk manager, and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. We’d definitely return.

We went down for breakfast at 7:02am and the lights in the breakfast area were still off. The hotel feels old, the room smelled, and our air never came on. The sheets were worn and need replacing, the paint was chipped in lots of places, and there was mold in the shower. I’d skip this hotel and go to the next exit.

The rooms are spacious, with a king bed, microwave, and refrigerator, and the furniture seems new. The hotel felt surprisingly cozy. Staff at reception were very pleasant during the day. At night, though, the elderly woman at the desk acted strangely and called me at 2 a.m. to ask whether I’d paid the deposit.
