Howard Johnson by Wyndham Hartford South – Rocky Hill

We had to leave at 4 AM to avoid traffic, so we missed breakfast. We’ll stay here again next time we’re in town. The room had a lovely table and chairs, a mini-fridge, TV, and a vanity outside the bathroom, which had enough room to be comfortable. Laminate floors were easy to clean and didn’t smell unpleasant. The pillows were good and the mattress comfortable. My wife gets cold easily, and the front desk brought an extra blanket to our room.

The second time we stayed, the smoke smell in our room was really strong. It was supposed to be smoke-free, but it was obvious someone had smoked heavily there, and the visit wasn’t pleasant. On our first stay, we woke up to police at the door after several cars had been smashed up and broken into overnight. I should’ve known then not to return. I won’t be back.

Peter at the front desk was very hospitable, and our rooms were great and very clean. We stayed for the last couple of days and would recommend staying here.

This was our second stay at this neat, original style HoJo motel. The owner/manager was friendly, caring, and quick to respond. Our room had been nicely renovated, was immaculately clean, and we slept comfortably.
