I left because the place felt filthy enough that I worried about contracting hepatitis. The health department should shut it down, and I plan to contact them. Save your money. The smell of mildew and weed hits you at the entrance. The downstairs rooms are occupied by tenants, and I saw roaches and people doing drugs there. The hotel seems to offer cleaner upstairs rooms at a much higher price if it thinks you’re worth it. There were roaches and flies in the rooms, and the towels and rags were stained and covered in dog and human hair. It seemed like housekeeping used those same cloths to clean rooms. The front desk woman was rude and unhelpful. There’s no breakfast, just vending machines with junk and frozen microwave food they expect guests to heat in the filthy microwaves in each room. The old covers and sheets smelled like cigarettes. When I showered, dark brown liquid dripped down the walls, which I attributed to guests being allowed to smoke and poor cleaning. This place is a dump.

We had to leave because of an emergency, so we asked about getting our money back. The manager turned cold and silent, then rudely said there were no refunds under any circumstances. That policy wasn’t written in the listing, and I’m filing a formal complaint with the BBB. The room had just one washcloth and one towel, dingy sheets, and stained bed covers. The place also gave off a dirty, homeless, drug, and prostitution vibe. I’d rate it zero. Don’t ever stay here.

We’ve stayed here before, and I like that the rooms have full-size refrigerators. The hotel itself was decent, but the woman working the front desk this time was very rude. Our company books through a third-party site that allows checkout at noon, while the hotel’s stated time is 11 a.m. She called our rooms threatening a late fee and said the reservation was wrong. I showed her our confirmations at the desk, but she was dismissive and acted as if we were at fault and she was doing us a favor.

The new bathrooms look great, and all the remodeling has helped make this a much better place for truckers like me. Since the new owners came in and hired Rob for maintenance, the atmosphere has improved and the staff are friendlier. I think my AC stopped working once, but Rob got it fixed quickly and easily. It used to feel like just a cheap place to sleep. Now it’s a good place to stay.
