There’s a dive bar out front that draws all the wrong people, and the whole place feels wild. A few days ago, a child was shot here by another child, using a gun stolen from a guest’s car. Avoid this place at all costs. There are nicer, safer hotels down Walnut.

The room was filthy, and we went all three days without a shower curtain. We finally got two towels after repeatedly asking the front desk. I actually saw the front desk lady coming from the Microtel across the road with the towels she gave us. There was mold above my bed, a window had been broken and replaced with plywood, and the doorknob was broken and fell off whenever you used it. We also had cockroaches in the room. Someone else had booked this hotel for me, and I was there just recently. It was by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in my life. They charged way too much for this dump. I wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it to my worst enemy. The only reason it got one star is I couldn’t figure out how to give less.

I saw customers walking around outside with bottles of beer, and two different groups had to move to another room last night. In my room, the microwave didn’t work, the TV had no remote, and there were no towels available at 9 p.m. I’d avoid this motel.

I was there only a few hours before I nearly got sick and had to leave. The whole stay was a nightmare, with terrible service. My microwave wouldn’t heat, there was only one towel, and when I asked for more, they never came. I also asked for the flat-screen TV that was in the previous room, thinking she might have said it by accident, but I never got it. The one bright spot was the Rogers Christian Church people who brought barbecue chicken and baked beans, with cuties and miniature chocolate chip cookies. By some miracle I got the last meal they had to serve. People who lived there carried away stacks of as many meals as they could, as if it were their last meal on earth, just because it was free. Some wouldn’t even let the kind Christian lady pray for them, and one person said, “No, I’m good,” while only seeming interested in the free food. Sad.
