Hale Springs Inn

Biscuits in the morning were delicious, too. We stayed in the Hap room, which was just right for our trio family, and we'll be back. The front desk receptionist took great care of us and was friendly, and everyone we met was kind and helpful. She knew the Inn well and answered our questions and more. It's a beautiful building, and they've done a fantastic job keeping it as original as possible.

We usually book Airbnb's, TBH, but for this road trip we wanted to have drinks with a nice dinner and then walk to our room. We stayed one night and booked a table at check-in. The food was excellent, though our dining spot was noisy with conversations and floor movement. I might have asked for a quieter area. We were in the Gray room, on a corner above main street, with a pretty view of a neighboring church spire at dawn. I'd consider returning, but would choose a room facing away from the street.

The chicken quesadilla at hale springs is so good, and the prices are great. When it's warm, the courtyard is a perfect place to eat.

I'd call ahead before driving to the restaurant. On Wednesday they had music bingo, and it was so loud that people in the bar had to raise their voices to be heard. The hostess wouldn't close one of the doors when asked to help cut the noise. Aside from that, the experience was excellent.
