DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Sonoma Wine Country

The staff and even the local guests made a difficult trip much more enjoyable and helped me through it. I’d flown from Vegas to Santa rosa, rented a car, booked the hotel and package, all to see my Aunt for the last time. It’s not a trip I wanted to make, but everything was super convenient. Ry the bartender is an absolute professional, she rocks. Carlos wears many hats and was a delight to talk with for a few hours. The locals at the bar made it feel like a community, a bit like "Cheers". I ordered the same meal every night, and it was cooked properly and consistently each time. I’ll have to come back under better circumstances. You guys are rockstars. Cheers.

Booker beware, this location is badly dated and not four star. The grounds are beautiful, but the interior is abysmal. The beds are rock hard, wallpaper is visibly soiled, and the very old showers have dirty-looking curtains. Towels and washcloths were shredded and smelled as if they’d been sitting stagnant for weeks. There was dust throughout the room and bathroom, twin bed pillows on a king bed, and the hygiene products were low quality. It needs serious investment and staff training. With Napa and Sonoma wine towns nearby, raise the standard!

The front counter staff were nice and customer service was great, but the rooms were a letdown. The outside and lobby look beautiful, then you get inside and everything is old. The chairs were ripped, and the TV didn’t have Netflix or other apps, which should be normal nowadays. The pictures are deceiving, as other posts have said, and the place is overpriced for what you get.

The room was nice, and they gave me a pack n play for my one-year-old, but this was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. Only two staff members were nice. The front desk guy said they’re a four-star hotel, but also said kids can’t play there because it isn’t a playground. We got no free or discounted breakfast, and there were fees for everything. They’re getting a new hot tub this week, but don’t put up signs for things they apparently care about. We paid for four nights and parking, yet the staff walked through our party and another party with youth instead of going around us to serve food in the bar. They complained that we were disrupting hotel guests. Other people couldn’t park between the lines, either.
