Baymont by Wyndham Rolla

For the price and easy access to I-44, this is a good value. There are restaurants next door that you can walk to. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, and the staff friendly and accommodating. It was reasonably clean, though a few spots show the property's age. Some people have complained about the indoor pool being temporarily closed and left one-star reviews that weren't warranted. If you need the pool, they say it will reopen Match 1, 2026. You'll be just fine here :)

The people I dealt with were nice, and the woman who checked us in was professional. The other two staff members we met were nice too. But I booked a pet room for two nights and found it pretty dirty, with human hair everywhere and a light fixture held up with electrical tape right beside the bed. There were a bunch of other annoyances too, the kind you don't want to handle at a hotel. Listing them would take longer than I'm willing to spend here. Breakfast was horrible and opened 15 minutes late, with customers already lined up. I worked at a similar place, so I know how things run. They need someone to handle the breakfast area separately from the front desk. Maybe it's a staffing issue, who knows. The staff were nice, but the whole place needs a lift to meet what it's supposed to be.

My daughter and her friend were supposed to skate at the zone for her birthday, then relax and swim at the hotel. Instead, the hotel pool was closed until March, and that wasn't disclosed when I booked. When my daughter went to check in, they told her she needed to pay a $200 deposit. She never got to stay, and had to change her plans. Neither policy is posted anywhere, so people booking will be caught by surprise.

Room 101, Feb 2026. The pool was closed, and the breakfast buffet was just a waffle maker, cheap oatmeal packets, biscuits, and gravy. I was hoping for something fresh. The room had a dirty tub, about eight sheets left on the toilet paper roll, and no ironing board, TV, or alarm clock. There were notes everywhere saying they'd charge you if things were missing, which I get. The bathroom shelf screw was loose, the nightstand handle was broken, and a rolling chair had done a lot of damage to the drywall over time. There was an odd smell, and the bathroom drains took a long time. Staff got short-tempered when I asked for another set of towels, which we never received.
