Holiday Inn Express Rolla

My first room was on the second floor, and it was unlocked and unclean. I told the front desk that all the unoccupied rooms on that floor were unlocked. Apparently they’d been cleaned earlier that day, but I checked in around 9 p.m., so it seems they’d been left that way for hours. In the next room, the air conditioning didn’t work. By the time I got to my final room, it was well after 10 p.m., far past my bedtime when I had a 6 a.m. start. Someone needs to look at how rooms are secured after cleaning. I don’t recommend staying here.

We had a quick stay while traveling for sports, and the hotel was clean and updated. As we were leaving, I needed to book another reservation. The front desk associate, Craig, went above and beyond to make the experience great. His customer service was top-notch, and he was funny and kind. Craig was easily the best part of our stay.

We found this Holiday Inn express and suites a little roomier than some other Holiday Inn express suites we’ve stayed in. It seems fairly new and has a nice walk-in shower. Although it’s right off I 44, it wasn’t overly crowded during our stay, and there’s a Longhorn steakhouse within walking distance, which was handy. If we’re traveling through Rolla Missouri again, this is where we’ll stay. I forgot to take photos this time.

We stayed one night, and it was horrible. My husband woke up the next day covered in bites from head to toe. I also took my granddaughter to the pool, but it smelled so bad that we didn’t stay even 30 minutes. I’ll never stay there again.
