Sleep Inn & Suites Ronks - Lancaster Area

I hate leaving negative reviews, but this was a disappointing trip with my daughter and grandsons. The online pictures looked nice, and the indoor pool was what convinced me to book. The first room was dirty, with balled-up dirty sheets and hair in the bed. We were moved to a second room that smelled musty and dirty, then to a third that was cleaner but had stained comforters. The pool looked awful, with yellowish stains on the bottom, and my daughter saw gnats in the water. The boys were disappointed, and we wouldn't let them swim. I couldn't sleep, knowing how unclean the place was, and couldn't wait to leave at 8am. The hotel is old and unclean, and doesn't look like the pictures. I don't understand reviews calling the rooms spacious: our room with two queen beds was very small. If possible, I'd suggest touring before booking. We won't stay again. They need to do better. 12/6/2025 update to the managers' response: We had to change rooms three times. They can deny it, but the first room we'd booked had dirty, balled-up sheets, and the second stank. Other reviews have basically the same complaints. I'm not lying. If the room had been decent, I wouldn't have written this. There's no excuse for making us change rooms three times. I guess the others with similar complaints lied too. I hope people read my reviews of other places as well, because they can see you lied about that too. My reviews aren't all negative. When people get bad service, others should know.

The front desk staff were very polite and nice. I liked that the sheets and top blanket were white, so it was easy to tell if they were clean, stained, or dirty. The rooms were okay, but the bed wasn't very comfortable, and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were good for the price, though the mattresses were really soft. The Wi-Fi was awful, constantly dropping and barely usable. It reminded me of hotel internet in the '90s. In 2025 there's no excuse for that. Breakfast was also a letdown. I don't expect a huge spread, but barely warm egg “pucks,” shriveled sausage, and a waffle machine hardly qualify. Hampton Inn is my benchmark: nothing fancy, just hot, tasty, and convenient. Sleep Inn didn't come close. They can do better.

Great stay for the price. The shower was clean, and the beds were comfortable.
