Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites South Bend by IHG

After a long drive, we arrived around 2:30 in the morning and the front desk agent was incredibly kind and accommodating. We stayed in a very clean, orderly accessible room. The whole building was quiet and clean.

Susan H. made arranging rooms for my son's basketball team so much easier. Coordinating a big group was tough, but she stayed organized, answered quickly, and helped us through the whole process. I haven't had service like that at another hotel. We're very grateful for how helpful she was.

Everyone we dealt with was nice, and since we only needed somewhere to sleep for a quick night, the room did the job. There was a lot of construction, though, and the water was shut off for about an hour for repairs in February 2026. It's an older, somewhat dingy building, and maybe they're renovating it?

Kendall & AnnE at the front desk were thoughtful and kept going out of their way to help us. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were really soft. Coffee was always good, and we liked the muffins. The one drawback was hearing someone with heavy footsteps in the room above us.
