Travelodge Rosemead

The building is old, but it's been remodeled and felt comfortable. Our room was clean, and we got upgraded to a suite with a kitchenette and sofa. The neighborhood was quiet, and the staff were kind and prompt. The “free breakfast” was just a jug of orange juice and packaged pastries in the tiny check-in office.

We had a clean, spacious room and felt safe in the peaceful surroundings. Nothing unusual happened during the weekend I stayed, and they were accommodating when I needed a late checkout. The woman at the front office was wonderful, kind, and friendly, and checking in was quick and easy. For the price, it was a good weekend getaway spot.

It was handy being just a two-minute drive from an on-ramp to the LA major highway. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a nicely renovated bathroom. The price was great for what we got. The only complaint is the continental breakfast, which was literally packaged danishes that didn't even look good and a jug of orange juice. Otherwise, it's a great option for the price.

There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance, and having a car makes getting around even easier. You can also hop on a bus into LA. The room had a kitchenette and a very comfortable bed, and Zach at the front desk was helpful and nice. It's a clean, pleasant hotel with weekly rates for longer stays. The weekly price includes tax, which is handy if you're on a budget.
