The best part for us was the 13th-floor view across the city, with a close-up look at planes taking off and landing. We hadn’t planned our night very well while in town for an RV show, and after walking through the Crowne Plaza to reach the convention center, we stopped at the desk to see if a room was available. It was, which we were grateful for, but $250 for one night without breakfast was a surprise. We found out the buffet cost $17 per person, and instead paid $11 for a muffin. I wish the attendant had mentioned breakfast when we booked so we could choose. The room was clean and comfortable enough, with a spacious bathroom, modern bowl sink, and plenty of warm water. The bed was comfortable, but it was cold even with the thermostat at 76°, so we called down for another blanket because the bed had little more than thin sheets. Dinner at Chicago Fire Oven was a letdown. We waited a long time to be seated and then spent more time waiting at the table. We both ordered $19 burgers and enjoyed sharing dessert first since it was Valentine’s Day, but the service was poor for the price. Other tables that arrived after us were served before us, nobody checked back, and we had to ask for the bill. We also had to get the bill corrected because a drink we ordered never arrived. I’m glad they had a room when we needed one, but spending nearly $300 for less than 16 hours makes it hard to see myself choosing this hotel again. It did work for the situation we were in.

The room did what we needed for World of Wheels at the Donald E Stephen's convention center. The restaurant was a different story. Both times we went, it was quiet, but the manager and servers ignored us even while making eye contact. The wait staff were a little better than the manager, but neither checked on us after the food arrived. We had to walk up and ask to pay on both visits. The food was just okay, about what you’d expect from hotel dining.

The staff were excellent, and the pool and workout area were nice. It was fairly quiet even though I was there during a convention. The on-site restaurant had decent food. My room was okay, though it could use a few cosmetic fixes and updates. Remember to get your parking stub validated.

My wife and I came from Denmark for a convention in Rosemont, and we needed some help figuring out the area. Vito at the hotel front desk was exactly the person we needed. He showed us what we could do and helped with our bags and whatever else we needed during the stay. I think he was Italian based on his name, which is easily an Italian name. I couldn’t be more grateful. Thanks to Vito, and God bless his soul!

The whole stay felt easy and welcoming. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well run from beginning to end. Vito at the front desk was friendly and professional, and went out of his way to make sure everything was taken care of. His service really stood out. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to others.
