Express Inn

The mattress felt like it could date back to the 70s, and the coffee was the worst we've ever had. The showers have been worked on, but they're still mildewed and have no shelves. I had to put soap and razors on the toilet and reach over it, splashing water everywhere. There are no curtains, and the outside lights make the room feel like daylight all night. The place needs maintenance. It looks like they tried to improve it, but didn't use quality contractors. Next time I'm going down the road to Holiday Inn and Suites for the extra $25.

I come to this area at least once a month, and this has become my go-to place. The rooms are great, and the main lobby is always really clean and smells nice.

The rooms look almost new, but the breakfast is VERY LIMITED. I got less than half a bowl of milk for my cereal, and the towels feel as rough as sandpaper. At 9:30 am, housekeeping came to ask if I was ready to leave. The owners seem very greedy.

After Hurricane Beryl, I stayed here for several nights and found the room clean throughout, from the sheets and surfaces to the kitchenette. It was a good size, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I loved how comfortable the mattress was. The hotel also has ash trays along the balcony and trash cans that were emptied regularly. Several gas stations and restaurants are within walking distance. I'd recommend it!
