We only came because our usual hotel was being redesigned, and we're glad to say we won't return. The front desk was harsh and dismissive. Housekeeping left cobwebs near the ceiling, and staff were on site for only a couple of hours in the early morning. Even during a medical emergency, the manager and front desk refused to bring fresh linens. When my fiance was packing to leave a day early and return to work, the front desk manager came to our room and questioned us about why we were going, despite being told we'd finish our stay. Thanks to my fiance for making it seem like I wouldn't be alone. Solo travelers, especially women, should take that as a red flag. There were serious problems inside the room too. The mattresses felt like thin futon pads on a cheap prison-style frame, with no support for your back. The toilet didn't flush every time, and its lid sat unevenly and rattled. The bathroom was moldy, the vent dripped on your head after a shower or when it rained, and the doorstop was stuffed with what looked like used, bloody tissue. There were rusty nails high up in the shower, so tall friends beware. The dressing-area ceiling outside the bathroom was poorly patched and left unpainted. There was also some trash, possibly drug paraphernalia, in the bathroom light. The door didn't seal, leaving a gap big enough for several coins, so flies, mosquitoes, and spiders got in while we ate and slept, and spoiled our food. It also wouldn't latch or close easily, making it easy to leave open and insecure. The AC ran but barely cooled during the day. It took two days to reach 72 degrees, and keeping it there meant running it on the lowest setting with the strongest fan. The floorboards were uneven and a tripping hazard, with a large burn mark in the middle. Around the bed legs were blood-red stains that could've been blood or rust, and I don't want to know which. The furniture was chipped and water-damaged. There were very few outlets near the bathroom and little storage. The room was dim, with no ceiling light except in the bathroom. Four lamps were provided, but one didn't work and the others were dim. The outlets on the bedside table were just for show and didn't work. Those on the bedside lights worked, but were so loose that a small tug sent the charger port clattering to the floor across the uneven boards. Even though it was a non-smoking room, our pillows had cigarette burns.

The price was great and the room was nice and clean during my extended stay a few weeks ago. The TV showed strange colors and needs replacing. Checking out was unpleasant because the attendant was very rude. I'll definitely be back, but they should be nicer to people leaving if they want them to return.

The property and room were clean, the bed was comfortable, and there wasn't a strong air freshener smell or any bugs. I liked having a chair outside each door. The young woman at check-in was polite and professional, and the young man at checkout was nice even though he'd been awakened. Housekeeping, both the woman and the man, were wonderful and pleasant.

The guests were friendly and it felt like a family-oriented community. I made lots of friends while staying there, and the staff made sure I had my room necessities each morning. Rick and Benita went out of their way to keep people safe and maintain the peace. If Rick heard that someone needed sleep or had kids to get to school, he'd tell noisy people to quiet down. He also watched the parking lots so people who didn't belong weren't on the property. Kim, the housekeeper, was caring and loving, and I always enjoyed hearing her and the guest next door tell jokes. The rooms had been renovated and updated, and groundskeepers and maintenance workers kept the property looking clean. They painted the hotel or sprayed the porch each week to help keep bugs away. Exterminators also came weekly and offered to spray rooms to help prevent bugs and mice. The place was cleaner and better managed than most apartments I've seen. My one complaint was the lobby entrance doorbell, which made a piercing, annoying sound. I had to cover my ears every time I went in or out. I'd absolutely recommend staying here and hope to come back.
