The checkout was so quick that I had the emailed receipt before I reached the car. The clerk took my business card and keys, and that was it. My room was spotless, the shower had strong water pressure, and the bathroom fan kept the mirror from steaming up, which I really appreciate. The hotel had recently been remodeled and felt brand new. I called from dinner to ask them to speed up check-in. By the time I walked in, the desk clerk already had my keys ready, so I was in the elevator in under a minute. The one thing they couldn’t help was the smell from the Sara Lee plant across the parking lot. On my 6 a.m. run and walk, the scent of baking bread was almost too much, and it made keeping breakfast reasonable a real challenge. This is a review moved over from Yelp, originally posted 10/22/16. The manager sent me a nice note in response.

I was charged for a room I never used. I’d asked about changing my reservation at the front desk while also on the phone with booking.com. They told me the reservation had been changed, so I trusted them and went back to my room. I had bought travel insurance, too, and waited the promised 7-10 days for a refund, but nothing came. Now neither party is responding. Thanks, Holiday Inn express in Roseville and Booking.com.

The buffet breakfast had plenty of choices, and we also enjoyed the upgraded room. What stood out most during our trip to Minneapolis was how attentive and warm the customer service felt. I left feeling well looked after, and the stay was a very positive experience.

I was here for two work nights, with the usual weekday business traffic. The room was quiet and clean, and the lobby and breakfast area were clean too. Breakfast was kept warm by the staff, who were pleasant and helpful with local information.

Breakfast was still hot and fully stocked when I brought the kids down at 9, just as it had been at 7 when my husband went. The breakfast server was incredibly sweet, and the gentleman at check-in was great with our young kids. He even gave them candy, which made their night. We stay in hotels all over the US, and this is one of the best Holiday Inn Express locations we’ve visited. We come to the area several times a year and will keep choosing this hotel.
