Hyatt Place Sacramento Roseville

I had a wonderful five-night work trip here. The lobby interior is modern and nice, the location is great, and breakfast was great too. The staff were sweet and quick. Better than a 5 star hotel!

The room connected to another one, which made it easy to keep in touch with family. There was also a dining area set apart from the bedroom, so it didn’t create distractions. Our spacious queen room had a huge TV and an office desk, and the bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and well kept, and the service was so good. This Hyatt is one of my top 3. Everything was top tier.

A nice little place with great service. The room had what we needed, but the layout felt a bit crowded, so I can’t give it five stars.

I was told by John that I wouldn’t need to pay the balance and that corporate would have to cover it, as if I should feel guilty about that. The issue seems to have come from an internal glitch that charged corporate, which they refused to pay, so customers were left with the bill. I’d already paid some charges and asked whether I’d get that money back. Nobody answered. This started a month and a half and then three months after my stays, when I got emails saying points plus cash bookings hadn’t been fully charged. Both times I’d checked out with no balance because I’d used enough points. They sent a $611 payment link and talked about payment security, but a minute after John emailed, he had already taken $222 from a card that wasn’t stored. That wasn’t even the right amount for the two separate stays, and they tried four different amounts. Twelve hours later, Princess B customer affairs sent a similar email and threatened to remove my account if I didn’t pay. They did remove it. Before I could get answers, they deleted my past stays, so I had no proof, and eventually deleted the whole account. I was courteous and just wanted an explanation, but they treated me like garbage. After several emails, they kept telling me to call even though I wanted everything in writing. No solution, no apology, and no proper handling of it. It felt like a total shakedown. I can’t remember being treated so badly. The unprofessionalism, threats, lack of respect, mishandling, and what felt like fraud made this anything but hospitable. Hyatt, please hire honest people.
