Budget Inn

The bed was comfortable and the area fairly quiet. Staff were hospitable, and the ice machine had solid ice that wasn’t already melting. The parking lot is very small, though. In the room, there were no dresser drawers, and the walls had lots of dirty splatters around the trash cans. The bathroom fan didn’t work, the shower water was only lukewarm, and some light bulbs were out, so the lighting was poor.

If affordability is the main thing, this place may work, but I wouldn’t choose it for a really clean stay. In my experience, housekeeping does the bare minimum. Towels don’t seem to get replaced every day, and the beds aren’t changed often enough, especially for a longer visit. The hotel seems okay with that. I came back last week thinking my earlier stay might just have been bad luck. It wasn’t. In Room 110, I saw people in hazard suits. They said someone had died in the hotel and had been there for a long time.

The owner was understanding about my situation and let me bring my three dogs, with a fee of course.

There were roaches in the dirty room, and cold air and bugs could get through gaps around the door frame. Housekeeping was scarce. They left fresh towels outside my door without even knocking to ask if I needed anything.
