Holiday Inn Atlanta/Roswell by IHG

The king room was spacious, the bed was super comfortable, and the heating and A/C worked well. The bathroom was clean, the shower pressure was good, and the gym was modern. We stayed over Thanksgiving 2025. The lobby was a bit drab, but none of that got in the way of a good night's sleep. Breakfast was sparse, with only one woman working. She wasn’t friendly, didn’t speak English, and kept letting items run out. Guests had to go into the kitchen to ask for basics, and we saw her looking at her phone instead of working. The lobby also had no hot water, tea, or coffee, unlike every other Holiday Inn where we’ve stayed. Our room was too dark and needs more lighting, and the ironing board cover was dirty. The pool area was dirty and full of debris. Even though the pool isn’t in use this time of year, they should sweep it since guests walk past it on the way to the elevators. It gave the impression management doesn’t care.

It looked nothing like the pictures. The rooms were very dim and smelled old. I booked through my credit card company because of the Holiday Inn name and didn’t check reviews. We were on the second floor. There was a wedding at the hotel, and the guests wandered the halls, talking, screaming, laughing loudly, and running around. It seemed like nobody cared that other guests were there. Calling the front desk didn’t help. The next morning, I told the person at the counter, who said she didn’t know other people were in that part of the building. There was no apology or offer to address the noise. The next night was just as bad. I called again, but it was clear my complaint wasn’t taken seriously. Running and stomping overhead continued in the evening. We were there for four nights, and it was horrible. I expect no compensation for this terrible stay. The responses to negative reviews seem nonchalant and give me no confidence that anything will improve. I have to return to this area often, but I won’t stay here again. The owners may own other places nearby, so I’d rather drive 45 minutes to and from my meetings than book another place like this. If you need rest before traveling, don’t stay here. I have a six-hour drive home and usually make few stops, but after this stay I know I’ll need breaks to rest.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the continental breakfast was good. They weren’t ready for a tour bus, though. Only one person was cooking, and items kept running out. I felt sorry for her, since no one was there to help. The elevators also had problems and allowed only four people at a time. Why hasn’t that been fixed? The shower pressure was very low too.

We needed a late checkout because my fiancé had surgery, and the staff were very helpful about it. The beds were comfortable, and breakfast was really good.
