The best part for me was the wood-burning sauna. As a Finn, I loved having that, and I'm curious to see how the wellness side develops. Flophouze has such a creative feel, with plenty to notice just by walking around. Every unit is fresh, clean, and thoughtfully put together, and there are cows and cats wandering about too. We'd never thought of coming to Round Top before our first visit, but now we're eager to return. The place has so much character and unique things to explore. I also liked seeing larger homes onsite along with the containers. It seems like somewhere you could visit again with different friends or family and have a different kind of stay each time. We're already planning a return for the antique show. Thanks, Matt and Nigel, for a memorable stay. We'd absolutely stay again.

The vintage seaplane cockpit was a very cool spot for photos, and the free-roaming cows and outdoor antiques for sale give the property plenty to look at. The pool made from a shipping container was fun for the kids. There are only six shipping container homes, outfitted in a Texas style with rustic touches, so the stay feels like a pretty unusual glamping hotel. Our unit had a vinyl record player and classic LPs, including Frampton Comes Alive, which was a nice touch and got us talking.

★★★★★ FlopHouze has a cozy, cool vibe, and yes, I paid to sleep in a shipping container. I'd do it again. The bed was really comfy, the kitchenette was cool, and the hammock out front was hard to resist. I loved the quiet and the stars, and it was fun pretending to be off-grid while still having WiFi. There was no front desk, just a code, and getting in was easy. Nigil was our guide and helped a ton with questions about town, including meal suggestions. I'll be back, in the one-of-a-kind robes, with my camera. Every corner feels like a photo moment.

The Flophouz felt like a cozy, clean escape with loads of character. We were close to the Roundtop show, yet it felt like we were far away from everything but our girls' trip. It had the off-the-grid feeling with all the comforts we needed. Nigil helped make the stay lovely and filled us in on things around town. We loved it and will definitely be back.

We just wrapped up a great week here. The hosts were quick to respond and really wanted our stay to go well. The containers are fun and have everything you need, and I loved making coffee with the whole-bean grinder in the morning. A sunset followed by a night dip in the pool made the experience even better. The stargazing was lovely too. Looking forward to coming back.
