The Center Inn

A blown tire stranded my wife and me in the city on our way home, and Carlos and Storm made a bad situation much easier to manage. Their service and accommodations were amazing, and they made us feel good about our hotel choice. We’re very grateful for their help and kindness during the stay. Kudos to them and the rest of the staff. Five star service! Have a great holiday, guys, and thanks again! :)

Our scrapbooking group had the ballroom all weekend, and we paid full price while a hockey group took over the hotel. The manager cut the rate for a hockey dad who was yelling about not having a larger fridge, even after apologizing to him, while the rest of us got no compensation for the chaos. Kids ran through the halls with sticks, crashing into walls and guests. I nearly got knocked over stepping out of the elevator, and it went on past 2 AM. We tried repeatedly to get staff to intervene, but nothing got under control. The bar and coffee service was no better. We were ignored while hockey guests brought drinks from their own cooler into the lobby and bar, including alcohol. At 11 PM the noise was out of control. When I went to see what was happening in the open lobby, moms were building human pyramids and screaming, while another dad banged on the piano and two moms sang and lay on the Baby Grand. It was unbelievable. Delta by Marriott needs better policies for handling this kind of situation. I hope someone with authority sees this and works to improve things.

Check-in went smoothly and the hotel was adequately clean, but I barely slept because the soundproofing was so poor. I got in at 11 pm, then highway traffic started around 4:00 am and sounded like it was only 10 feet away. At 5 am I could hear the snow crew shoveling right outside my window, even though I was on the second floor. Maybe it depends which side of the building you’re on, but the windows really need to be looked at. The lack of soundproofing was my biggest disappointment.

Delta Hotels was an affordable pick for our weekend getaway. The room was clean and had no issues, while service was just okay and nothing really stood out. There are several fast food places nearby, along with some well-known grocery stores and local restaurants.
