Travel Inn

We barely slept and left as soon as we could the next morning. The room stank and was filthy, the toilet was sinking through the floor, and there was no hot water. We only discovered how bad it was after we’d brought our belongings inside. We eventually found a shower down the road. We arrived at 10 pm and asked for a room, explaining that my husband is elderly. We were charged $70. At checkout I told the owner what was wrong, and he said he would’ve given us another room if we’d told him at check-in. Why rent that room out at all, and why take advantage of elderly people? I asked him to make things right over what felt like a $70 hazard, but he didn’t. I stayed half awake all night to make sure my husband was safe. I suppose you can do what you want in this country. Please don’t go there.

Parking was a fight every night, the place smelled of weed and crack, and police were there often. I stayed a week and got room service only one day. My room was disgusting; I didn’t even want to shower there, and the tiny tub wouldn’t drain. They don’t wash the blankets between guests, just replace the sheets. I’ve seen the housekeeper clean, and my room was still nasty. The owner or manager at the front desk was rude on the phone. He gave me one price, but when I asked him to repeat it because I couldn’t understand, he snapped that he’d already told me everything and hung up. Then the price at the hotel was different from what he’d quoted. They seem to have spent the money on a new parking lot instead of fixing up those old, dirty rooms.

The service was awful, and the motel itself was disappointing. The head manager is very hard to understand, rushes you, and kicks you out before your room time is over without notice. When I arrived, the head manager Ish told me it was good to beat your wife as long as you could enjoy her afterward and didn’t damage his precious furniture. These are some of the most scummy people I’ve ever met.

The room smelled terrible, and I felt like I was stuck in a closet. There was dust and dirt, at least one bed bug, and water damage on the ceiling. The bed and mattress protectors never get changed. The bed and box spring were so worn out I slipped off when I tried to lie down. There were burn holes and stains everywhere. My lord, how can someone run a motel like this without ever setting foot in the rooms?
