The quiet setting was a big part of what we loved, with birds and mountain breezes instead of city noise. From the decks on both sides of the lodge, we could sit and watch the mountains, the daisy field, and deer in the morning and evening. There was also a little garden with lovely flowers, including big lupines in different colors. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and the room had a nice view. It was clean and very spacious, with Victorian and vintage decor, a shower, and an extra-large tub, all on the main floor. Breakfast each morning was excellent: eggs, meat, fresh fruit, juice, milk, tea, and pastries or muffins. We loved our stay at Bobtail Lodge B&B and will recommend it to people visiting NW Montana.

At 7am the owner opened our room door to look inside. I don't know why, but privacy matters most to us, and there was no lock to stop her from coming in. That was not okay. The property wasn't advertised accurately, and the room itself was just okay. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and only one towel for three people.

The owners were really nice, and the place was quiet and private. My room had its own bath and a balcony. Around 4am, I spotted a moose from the balcony with my flashlight off. Loved it, especially for the bargain price.
