Embassy Suites by Hilton Sacramento Riverfront Promenade

Charlie at the front desk made us feel welcome even during the busy holiday season. She explained the Polar Express Experience and upgraded our room for our anniversary. We had the best views of downtown. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and the whole stay was an amazing, unforgettable experience. Happy Holidays, and we’ll definitely be back at The Embassy Suites.

As a Hilton Diamond member who travels for work, I often have to tell management when standards fall short. This stay was the opposite, thanks especially to Aaliyah, Victor, and Emily, who showed what the Hilton standard should be. Victor’s humor and knowledge of the local area added a lot to my stay, and he’s a fantastic ambassador for the hotel. Emily was efficient, kind, and clearly proud of her work. Her customer service was top-notch, and her coffee-making skills were second to none. Aaliyah’s confidence and radiant smile light up the room, and she makes guests feel welcome and valued right away.

We’d eaten a late dinner at the crab shack, then stopped for a snack at the hotel restaurant around 9pm. Our group left an envelope with about $70 on the table, one member’s savings for the whole trip. He was heartbroken when he realized the next morning. We called the restaurant, searched our room, and retraced our steps outside before I went back to the restaurant in the late afternoon. Lonna’s eyes lit up when I explained. She’d found the envelope while cleaning our table, written a note on it saying who we were and how many people were in our group, and left it at the front desk for us. We retrieved it that same day. She was so happy to have found us she was practically dancing. I’m glad the hotel has someone like LONNA working there. She’s a poster child for customer service, and I wish every hotel had a LONNA.

We booked a two-room king suite with a partial river view and got a top-floor room. The view was beautiful, though a large exterior light shone toward our window. The curtains blocked most of it, but the room was still a little bright. Hotel noise was minimal, and the lounge and restaurant downstairs were lovely, with plenty of food and drink choices. It’s hard to beat the location near Old Sacramento, West Sacramento, and K Street. We had a great stay, apart from a bit of a wait to check in.
