White Pine Lodge

The continental breakfast was pretty good and well stocked. There seemed to be renovation work going on while we were there, with large areas roped off and both the pool and gym closed. If they’ve finished the renovations by now, I imagine the place is probably pretty great.

We were there for one night on 9/5/25 for a wedding. The breakfast was okay, but I paid what I could have paid for a room at a fully open hotel. Half the property was closed, including the pool, because it was undergoing major renovations. I hadn’t seen anything about that online, and we would have stayed somewhere else if I had. The outside was plain, and the location was okay, though there was no light at the intersection. Our room needed an upgrade and showed visible wear. We arrived late, so it wasn’t an issue at first, but then my daughter found dirty sheets when she got into bed. There were large stains on both the fitted and flat sheets, and the pillowcase was hairy and dirty. We asked for clean sheets and changed them ourselves. Under the pillowcase, the protector was yellow and disgusting. After that, we checked all the bedding and found two pillows on the same bed in that condition. We talked it over and decided to stay since it was only one night. There were dogs everywhere, so I suspect the high rating may be because the place is pet-friendly. Hope this helps someone else.

I stayed for four nights while there was construction at my home. The room was clean, and having a microwave and fridge in it was very convenient. Staff were friendly and happy to help with whatever I needed. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for lodging. Thank you!

The breakfast was a highlight: real eggs, tasty sausage and English muffins, and very good sweet rolls. My wife didn’t think the lack of fruit was a deal breaker. The bed smelled clean to her, and each queen bed had four labeled pillows, two soft and two firm. The bathroom was clean, and the plain-looking shower gave a great morning massage. We couldn’t come up with anything negative. We stay at a lot of hotels, and this one impressed us from the moment we walked in. It looked and smelled clean throughout. The room was lovely and already at a welcoming temperature when we arrived, and it was easy to adjust to what we liked. We’ll stay at the White Pine Lodge on our next trip to Salamanca.
