The Cove At Salem

The circus room I stayed in was fully committed to its theme, just like the goth room my friends had. Everything was immaculate, the beds were comfy, and there were plugs in all the right places. The location, surrounding area, and price were all just right, so I plan to make this my regular hotel here. One thing to plan for is food and drinks. The ice machine and any way to heat food, including microwaves, aren’t available at all hours. There are nice refrigerators in the rooms, so you can work around it if you plan ahead.

Nova made my mom’s birthday trip extra special. I mentioned wanting a cake, and when we got back to the room that evening, it was waiting on the bed. Sharing it at 2 a.m. with two spoons while snow fell outside is a memory I’ll never forget. The front desk staff were incredibly attentive before and during our stay. The hotel has a whimsical, charming feel and is comfortable and well appointed. When the weather allows, downtown is a beautiful walk away. While it was snowing, a quick Uber was only about $6, which was very convenient. We stayed in Boston during the same trip, but I wished we’d spent more time in Salem at The Cove instead. It was my favorite place we stayed, and I’ll absolutely return.

I loved my Monday-to-Friday stay. The room was big and clean, and even without a car there was plenty of parking. The outdoor area was lovely for sitting in the morning or evening, and I liked the keypad doors. Next time I visit the Cove, I’d love to book one of the themed rooms. If you’re sporty, you can walk to the heart of Salem; otherwise, an Uber is quick and easy. Great place to spend your time.

We stayed February 19 to February 21, 2026, in a King suite. The staff were great, and the room was spotless and very comfortable. The only reason we had to leave was the severe weather coming in, a blizzard. If the weather had been nicer, everything would have been within walking distance, even in mid-February. I’d highly recommend this place, and we’ll definitely book it again if we return to Salem.
