On the second night of my three-day stay, I returned at 5:15 PM to find the bed stripped of sheets, the towels missing, and the room looking as if cleaning had been abandoned halfway through. I asked the desk whether room service was done for the day and was told, “I don’t do rooms.” When I asked for sheets and towels, I was taken to the utility room and given supplies so I could make up and clean the room myself. I know mistakes happen, but I felt like a nuisance for mentioning it. The room phone didn’t work, either. The outside gives a two-star impression. Inside, there were ceiling stains, peeling wallpaper, and paintwork that needed attention. I can’t recommend staying here.

I was here for a few workdays and had a good stay. The room was clean, staff were courteous, and breakfast was solid. The price was excellent for the value, and I didn’t need anything more.

After driving all day, I just wanted a quick check-in, but the front desk person complained to me about trucks with trailers, having to set up breakfast, and not wanting to spend money on repairs. They didn’t seem happy to be there. I skipped breakfast. The room cost me $98 on a Wednesday, though it was advertised online for around $50. My AC wasn’t working when I arrived. The desk said they weren’t maintenance, and there were no other rooms available. The room also needed work. The carpet felt old and crusty, the bathroom ceiling was peeling, and the heating and cooling unit needed cleaning. The shower bar was broken, so the curtain kept sliding open. The curtains smelled musty and smoky and should be replaced. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We had a suite, and the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was my favorite part. The place was quiet, safe, secure, clean, modern, and well maintained, and the price was good. Everyone from the front desk to maintenance and housekeeping was wonderful. This is one of the nicest motels I’ve stayed in around Salisbury, North Carolina.

Mary at the front desk made my stay memorable with her warm attitude and excellent customer service. She was professional and gave me helpful information. I’d gladly recommend this place.
