Sleep Inn - Salisbury I-85

For the price, this is a really good place to stay. The management is outstanding and the staff are great. I’m a Hilton Honors member, and I’d be perfectly happy staying here when I’m in town.

The staff were helpful, and the location is close to several shopping centers, but I left disappointed. I chose this place for the pool and fitness room and couldn't use either. The pool was locked, out of service, and disgusting. The gym had just one treadmill and one weight bench, in the first building. We were in the second, which isn't connected, and I didn't feel safe crossing the lot early in the morning or after dark. The lot is shared with a car rental business and two other very shady hotels, which added to that concern. At least two rooms had broken internal safety locks. I know because I had to change rooms after finding a broken bathroom door. There was trash scattered around the lot and stairs, and changing the many TV channels was frustrating, whether the problem was the TV or remote.

The people at the desk were awesome, and I had a really nice stay. My room was clean and nice, and the facility itself was great. The pool, though, wasn't open, even though the website said it would be. Getting in and out can also be confusing if you don't know to cut through the Lowe's parking lot.

Clean, nice, and well equipped for a budget hotel right off the interstate. KAY at the front desk is the reason I'd come back. She greeted me at the door, told me about the great breakfast, and found toiletries I'd forgotten on a quick trip. She's a real ambassador for Sleep-Inn.
